Grant for Community Health, Access, and Inclusion in Urban Centers in Florida (USA)
GrantID: 75097
Grant Funding Amount Low: $1,000
Deadline: Ongoing
Grant Amount High: $80,000
Summary
This grant program is designed to support nonprofit organizations operating in or serving communities within certain metropolitan areas across the U.S. The aim is to strengthen work that improves community well-being, especially in places where the sponsoring organization has a presence or footprint. Eligible applicants are charitable, tax-exempt nonprofits (not businesses or individuals) with missions aligned with community service, social justice, education, health, environment, the arts, or legal access.
Funds may be used for either general operating support or discrete project funding. In other words, an organization could request money to help cover core costs (staff, overhead) or to launch, expand, or sustain a particular program. The idea is to give flexibility, so grantees can decide whether they need support for sustaining ongoing operations or advancing a specific initiative.
The foundation gives priority to organizations whose work benefits underserved, low-income, or underrepresented populations. The kinds of programs typically funded include legal services (for example, “know your rights” trainings, housing or immigration legal aid), workforce development and job training, youth or out-of-school enrichment, health or wellness programs, environmental or conservation efforts, and arts or cultural engagement in underserved neighborhoods.
Grant amounts tend to vary depending on the size, geography, and maturity of the organization and the program. The average award is modest (often in the low five figures), with newer grantees receiving smaller grants. Because the foundation operates in multiple regions, only organizations in or serving particular cities or counties are eligible; national nonprofits may apply only if their proposed project is anchored in one of those specific places.
Applications are accepted several times a year on set deadlines (for example, early spring, early summer, and early fall). Nonprofits may apply once per year, and funding is distributed multiple times annually. The foundation seeks to partner with organizations that have demonstrated impact, clear goals, and sustainable practices.
Eligible applicants in Florida with a demonstrated commitment to Arts, Culture, History & Humanities are encouraged to consider this funding opportunity. To identify additional grants aligned with your needs, visit The Grant Portal and utilize the Search Grant tool for tailored results.
